My journey in education began in 2004 at Michigan State University. After a year internship in Lansing, MI teaching first grade, I knew I wanted to work with lower elementary students. I moved to Texas with my husband and taught second grade for five years in a rural community. Although I miss my students in Texas, I am glad to be back home teaching in Jackson, MI. I have worked at Northwest Early Elementary for two years now and enjoy working with such energetic teachers who share my passion in making a difference in the lives of children.
